Some Facts about Strength Training



One of the main reasons why we go to the gym and have a workout is to have a great body.   Of course, we need to engage in strength training if we want to have not only a fit body, but also the strength so we can enjoy everything in our life.  With that being said, strength training is defined as the exercises we do to increase our strength.   This is divided into two subcategories:

  1. Strength Training without increasing body weight – The first is mainly used by athletes as it promotes strength without adding additional weight.  That means that this is used to accomplish to prepare for something specific like biking, swimming, hiking, and the list goes on. 
  2. Strength Training and Muscle Building – the second subcategory refers to the weight lifting and body building which is for the common people or for those who are not athlete.  They like going to the gym, but their goal are not that specific since they just want to increase their strength and their size
    There is a science behind everything and this facts leads to better understanding.  You need to know the facts behind strength training before you could truly understand it.


If you don’t know why strength training is important then here are a few reasons that you should know:


  • Increased endurance – Studies has proven strength training not only increase our strength, but also increases our endurance.  That means that we become stronger and we can last longer on whatever activity that we are into. 
  • More Muscle – If you got more muscle then you can lift more. The only way that you can be stronger than before is to add more muscle.  Otherwise, you would just hit a plateau. 
  • Strength builds confidence – As you grow stronger, you tend to become confident.  It is believe that it is easier to achieve a goal if you are more confident on yourself. 
  • Lose fat – This must be the best since this would make you better looking.  You would get attention from the opposite sex.  Personally, what more is better than that?  You could easily burn calories if you have bigger muscles. The burning process takes place even if you aren’t exercising.
